Landy Lee, President

Landy Lee has been a lifelong music enthusiast. Her musical journey began in fifth grade when she joined her school’s Chinese music club and started learning the erhu. Since 2006, she has been under the guidance of erhu master Pak-Yung Siu, who has been both her teacher and life mentor. In 2016, she joined the Chinese Music Association of Southern California, where she continued to develop her passion for Chinese folk music.

Landy served as the secretary of the Chinese Music Association of Southern California for two years and was elected president and CEO in July, 2024. In this role, she is committed to serving the members and supporting nonprofit organizations. Her mission is not driven by the pursuit of fame or personal gain but by a genuine desire to promote Chinese traditional music overseas. She strives to ensure the sustainable growth of the Chinese Music Association of Southern California, honoring the legacy of the association’s founder, Mr. Peter Wang, and commemorating her erhu teacher, Pak-Yung Siu, who dedicated his life to Chinese folk music.

Landy’s leadership focuses on preserving and spreading the beauty of Chinese music, bringing its rich and classic traditions to audiences around the world. Since 2006, she has been a dedicated student of erhu master Pak-Yung Siu. In 2016, she became involved with the Chinese Music Association of Southern California, where her passion for Chinese folk music has continued to flourish.
