Landy Lee has had a passion for music since childhood, starting to learn the erhu at the age of 10. Since 2006, the erhu master Pak Yung Siu has been both her mentor and close friend. In 2016, she joined the Spring Thunder Chinese Music Association, where she continued to deepen her love for Chinese folk music. Later, the orchestra announced a name change to the Chinese Music Association of Southern California.
From 2022 to 2023, she served as the Secretary-General of the Chinese Music Association of Southern California for two years and was elected president in 2024. In this position, she is dedicated to serving the members and supporting the orchestra’s involvement in community non-profit activities. Her mission is not about pursuing fame and fortune but comes from a sincere heart to promote traditional Chinese music overseas. She hopes to lead the association in sustainable development, continuing the legacy of its founder, Mr. Wang Guoping, while also paying tribute to her erhu teacher, Pak Yung Siu, who devoted his life to Chinese folk music.
She looks forward to leading the members of the Chinese Music Association of Southern California in spreading love and the beauty of Chinese music abroad, bringing its rich traditional repertoire to audiences of diverse ethnic backgrounds from around the world.
