Rene Wu

Born into a famous musician’s family, Mr. Wu learned the erhu, a Chinese string instrument, at a very young age. After graduating from the Conservatory of Music in Beijing, Mr. Wu became the principal and solo erhu performer for the Beijing Dance Academy Orchestra. Since coming to the U.S. in 1980, Mr. Wu has been involved in many activities: performances and concerts at schools, museums, universities, and local communities. Mr. Wu was the erhu soloist for the Los Angeles Chinese Music Association and the Elizabeth Waldo Pan-Asia Ensemble, as well as a loyal member of the Spring Thunder Chinese Music Association.
